It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s...Daniel Martino! In this week’s episode, we had the privilege of interviewing one of Class of 2023’s very own. Listen in to learn more about the story of Daniel and the motivations that push him to be the very best pharmacist he can be. Furthermore, he breaks down his tenured relationship with Mint Pharmacy and his emerging role as project lead for the “Mint Communities” initiative. Finally, we end the podcast by having Daniel share a little bit about his own NPO, “Boxed Blessings”, and why he feels so strongly about serving the vulnerable populations of Edmonton. We then continue the discussion by highlighting the amazing work of an Edmonton pharmacist who saved the life of a man who was experiencing an overdose. The life-saving medication used in that event was Naloxone, which we talk about more in our “Drug of the Week” segment!
